Student to Participate in national CUPSI Poetry Slam

Fortino Vazquez, current Community Studies student, will be participating, along with 3 other UCSC students, in the College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational (CUPSI) in Boulder, CO March 12-15, 2014. From the Association of College Unions International website: "ACUI produces the College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational (CUPSI), which offers an opportunity for campuses with new or existing Poetry Slam programs to compete for top honors and to share their artistry and voices. And everyone is enriched by sharing poetry, embracing the value of inclusivity, and supporting a program in which 'Everyone’s voice is welcome.'". Good luck to Fortino and the rest of the UCSC team!
